Diversity Roundtable - January 2022 (Part 2 of 2)

In December, we discussed signs, symptoms, and some coping methods for anxiety and depression in both kids and adults. In January, the roundtable discussion focused on the stigmas surrounding mental health and the barriers, including cultural, to receiving help and treatment. An NFS parent and Diversity Committee member shared her own story regarding her mental health diagnosis and the struggles she faces with others and in society as a result.  This was followed by engaging discussion.  Click here for the Padlet of resources that were shared.
