Holocaust Remembrance Day

On Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27th,  NFS had a school-wide moment of silence followed by a reading by Eli Kirsh ‘23 in which he shared the story of his grandparents’ survival.  The next week on January 31st, all members of the NFS community were invite to attend a virtual assembly with the Jewish Family and Children's Services Holocaust Center organized by Kristen Sanchez, Upper School Social Studies.   Attendees listened to Leon R. recount his harrowing story of surviving the holocaust in the hope that the telling will keep this tragic chapter from repeating.
